About Mugdhaa · Since 2012The Story
Mugdhaa began in 2012 with one woman, one small boutique and a love for sarees she could not keep to herself. Sashi Vengapalli believed the sarees we grew up watching our mothers wear were never meant to stay folded in a cupboard.
That belief has carried us from a single store to more than 26 across South India, and it still shapes every saree we bring home from the loom because a tradition lives only when it is passed on.
This is Mugdhaa, a custodian of Traditions for Tomorrow.

The Inspiration
A visit to Tirupati
The inspiration for a temple themed store began on a visit to Tirupati. Sashi watched devotees offer sarees to Lord Venkateswara, and what stayed with her was the calm on their faces and the quiet faith in every gesture.
She wanted every woman who walked into Mugdhaa to feel that same peace. So every Mugdhaa store has its own Balaji temple, and every saree is first offered to the deity before it is placed in your hands.
